This two day photography course combines planning and theory with models acting as the bride and groom. We’ll take you through everything you need to know as a wedding photographer, including planning for the unexpected and some of the more business-orientated aspects of the job. New to photography? Before attending this course you will need a basic knowledge of aperture, camera lenses, shutter speed and ISO including exposure modes. If you’re new to photography, then you may find it helpful to sign up to one of our Beginner Courses first. Theory & Planning Learn how to prepare for a wedding shoot, including planning the day, visiting the venue and organising an engagement shoot. Practical Model Session Put your learning into practice with a hands-on photography session working with models. Lighting Techniques Learn how to make the most of natural light and when to use portable lighting for stronger results. Posing & Direction Develop the skills to guide couples and guests with confidence, creating natural, memorable images. Key Wedding Moments Learn how to capture essential shots, including the ceremony kiss, confetti, cake cutting, group photos and getting-ready images. Handling Challenges Prepare for common wedding-day challenges, including changing weather, limited time and difficult guests. Selecting Final Images Discover how to choose, edit and present your final image selection to the client. Sales & Marketing Learn how to stand out in a competitive market, promote your services and price your work effectively. Contracts & Protection Understand the importance of clear contracts and how they can help protect you and your photography business. Photography Studio in the Heart of Waterloo Located in the heart of Waterloo, our fully equipped Photography Studio has everything you need to develop your skills, including studio lighting, backgrounds, cameras, tripods, props and more. Step outside and you are surrounded by brilliant shoot locations, from the Southbank, Leake Street Arches and Lower Marsh Market to Waterloo Bridge, the Thames riverside and the bold architecture of the National Theatre. It is an ideal setting for exploring studio lighting, portraiture, street photography, architecture, composition and natural light, with the city providing a constantly changing backdrop for your work. Do I need my own camera? Please bring a mirrorless camera, a DSLR camera or a compact camera with full manual controls, your camera’s manual, a fully charged battery, an empty memory card, comfortable shoes and an external flash (if owned, we can supply them if not). If you don’t have all of this please don't worry, we can provide all equipment as needed. Want to learn more?
