As a company member, you will work with a professional choreographer to create polished ensemble routines across ballroom and Latin styles. Weekly rehearsals focus on technique, partnership, musicality and performance, giving you the opportunity to build a complete piece over time. You will learn how to adapt familiar ballroom skills for the stage, from maintaining clean formations and synchronisation to communicating character and confidently performing for an audience. This is not simply another ballroom course. It is an ongoing creative commitment built around rehearsal, collaboration and live performance. Load More Meet your company leader Nataliia Siianko is a professional dancer, adjudicator, and teacher originally from Ukraine. She began dancing at the age of six and has never stopped, building a lifelong career dedicated to movement, artistry, and performance. After earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Dance and Recreation Science from the Institute of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine, she moved to London 13 years ago, where she continued her competitive career at the highest international level. Her competitive career is marked by numerous prestigious achievements. She is a Vice Champion at the UK Open, International, and Blackpool Dance Festivals, as well as the British National Vice Professional Champion in Blackpool. She reached the finals of the European Championships and was a semi-finalist at the Open to the World Dance Awards in Malaysia. Her dedication and skill have also earned her the distinguished title of Master of Sport of Ukraine. Instead of a formal audition, you can attend a rehearsal session to experience the company and demonstrate your level. 2 What level do I need to join? You should have completed the Intermediate Ballroom course at City Academy or have equivalent experience. 3 How often does the company rehearse? The company rehearses weekly in the evening. 4 Will I perform in shows? Yes. Members have opportunities to perform at various events throughout the year. 5 What happens after I attend a taster class? Following the session, you will receive an email inviting you to join the company or suggesting further training. 6 Do I need to commit to the performances? Yes. Once you join the company for a performance cycle, attendance is expected to ensure choreography is staged correctly.
