In just one fun and energetic session, you’ll learn signature moves from some of the greatest divas around, all while building confidence and letting your personality shine. A taster session is the perfect way to get a feel for the class, meet your City Academy tutor, and ask any questions before joining a course. Looking to jump straight in? Our Beginners Diva Dance Course (or our Absolute Beginners Dance Classes if you’re completely new to dance) are the perfect starting point. These progressive classes will help you develop your technique, style, and stage presence week by week. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN In your Diva Dance Taster Class, you will: Learn some classic, heart-stopping diva moves Build confidence and lose inhibitions through empowering choreography. Meet your tutor and get a feel for Diva Dance at City Academy. Add performance attitude and expression to your movements. USEFUL INFORMATION What is a Diva Dance Taster Class? A one-off introductory class where you’ll learn routines inspired by pop icons like Gaga and Beyoncé, focusing on style, performance, and confidence in a supportive and fun setting. What are the benefits of taking a taster before joining a course? A taster gives you the chance to try the style, meet the tutor, and get a feel for the class before committing. It’s the perfect way to see if Diva Dance is right for you, helping you feel more confident about joining a full course. Do I need any dance experience? If you have some dance experience, you can jump straight into our Beginners Diva Dance Course after your taster. If you’re brand new to dance, we recommend starting with our Absolute Beginners Dance Course before moving on to Diva. What should I wear? Wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Most students take part barefoot or dance in socks. What happens if I enjoy the taster? If you enjoy this taster session, you could then join our Beginners Contemporary Dance Course, a structured programme that will develop your technique, creativity, and strength through progressive classes.
