Salsa Classes - Improvers 2 follows on directly from Salsa - Improvers 1 and takes you further into the seductive world of salsa. It provides extended practice of Cross-Body Lead style, whilst learning a range of more advanced techniques.

Salsa Improvers is split into two levels; we recommend you complete Salsa - Improvers 1 before you shimmy your way to Salsa Improvers 2. This ensures everyone progresses properly – and gives you the opportunity to build total confidence in your moves.

SALSA CLASSES - IMPROVERS 2 CONTENT

Exact content may differ depending on the class size and course duration, but topics generally covered include:

• Review of the moves from Improvers Salsa 1 Class
• Warm up & more complex footwork, partner work and combinations
• Learn a variety of combinations: Copa variations, Mambo Jazz, Walk Back, and more
• Become familiar with the Salsa dance community and attend more Salsa night out

As with all of our salsa dance classes, you'll receive friendly feedback throughout, and you don’t need to bring a partner to join the course. Students may be encouraged to repeat this course before moving on to Intermediate level courses.

UNDERSTANDING OUR SALSA & BACHATA CURRICULUM

Salsa and bachata are beautifully rich dances, full of technique, musicality, and finesse and like any true art form, they take time to develop and refine.

Each course within our curriculum is designed to be repeated, often more than once. You’ll work closely alongside your peers and your tutor, who will guide you in mastering every element of the material. When you’re ready, you’ll receive a sign-off to progress to the next level, ensuring a solid and confident foundation at every stage.

To support your learning, our bi-monthly afternoon Salsa Social is a friendly, welcoming, and safe space where you can practise what you’ve learned in class, build confidence on the dance floor, and most importantly, have fun.

Think of salsa as a marathon, not a sprint. There’s no rush, the joy is in the journey, slow and steady, with lots of smiles along the way.
