This 2 Week Ballet Intensive Course provides comprehensive training with leading industry tutors. This course is for beginners to improvers; those with 0-1 year's worth of experience. Beginners are most welcome. You will be learning different Classical and Contemporary techniques, solo and group choreography from several ballets, an insight into the art forms history, and to understand how dancers maintain a healthy lifestyle. By the end of the two weeks, you will have gained confidence and heightened ability in your dance technique and performance. Each day will consist of full-body conditioning, a Ballet technique class, learning variations and repertoire from different ballets, and either Contemporary or Jazz technique to support the Classical training. ON OUR BALLET INTENSIVE COURSES YOU WILL Learn correct alignment and control of the body. Be taught various classical and contemporary dance techniques. Build strength in the feet and ankles to prepare for Allegro and Pointe work. Learn and perform solo and group choreography from several Ballets. Learn exercises to help develop flexibility, strength and mobility for injury prevention and maintenance. Have an insight to a dancer’s daily lifestyle as a full-time student and learn about careers in dance. Build the body’s stamina and endurance Gain nutritional advice. 📊 SUITABLE FOR This course is for beginners to improvers; those with 0-1 year's worth of experience. 📅 HOW LONG IS THIS COURSE? This is a 2 week course full-time course, weekdays from 10.00 - 17.00. ✏️ WHAT WILL YOU NEED Water bottle, notebook, pen, snacks and a towel. 🔀 WHAT TO WEAR Soft ballet shoes or pointe shoes (if applicable) and comfortable clothing to dance/move in. OUR APPROACH Throughout the Ballet Intensive course you will work on a wide range of materials across various contemporary and classical works, looking at Ballet in an ensemble and as a soloist and developing performance technique and confidence. She is a freelance dancer who has toured around the UK and internationally as well as studying and performing Tango in Argentina. MORE INFO Sophia Priolo Sophia is a ballet dancer, choreographer and Ballet Instructor who has performed across the USA in Les Sylphides, Swan Lake and Cinderella. She made her West End debut as a dancer and lyricist in the 2021 London Climate Change Festival inaugural concert: Song For Nature, filmed by Sky Arts with the English National Opera Orchestra. Pan has lots of experience performing, having danced in Martha Graham’s repertoire. He is part of Jasmin Vardimon Company 2, touring nationally. MORE INFO Lydia MacKenzie Lydia studied at the Central School of Ballet and is a passionate dance teacher. She has performed at the Royal Albert hall in ‘Classical Spectacular’, toured in the Ballet Central Tour and performed in the Corps de Ballet in Bermuda Civic’s Ballet production of Romeo and Juliet.
