Taught by a professional sitcom writer, this course is a practical introduction to writing situation comedy, designed for adults who want to understand how memorable sitcoms are built. Across the course, you will explore what makes sitcoms funny, why great comic characters keep audiences watching and how everyday situations can become strong comedic stories. Working with an experienced writing tutor, you will watch and discuss sitcom extracts, experiment with your own ideas, and begin developing characters, dialogue and storylines in a supportive group setting.
