Beginners with no previous dance experience are welcome. If you have a curiosity for movement, this course will expand your movement vocabulary and teach you to express your own unique style through characterisation and interpretation. Throughout this course, you will create your own solo pieces and work as a group using a mix of unique choreography to curate a performance that you will show informally at the end of the course. Moving with Others Learn how to move with others, interpret movement, make contact and collaborate as part of a group. Original Choreography Devise original choreography through play, exploration and creative movement tasks. Creative Workshops Draw inspiration from photography, art and music as you develop movement phrases in the space. Solo and Group Work Create your own solo pieces while also working collaboratively to curate group performance material. Informal Performance Share your work in the final week, demonstrating the creative and improvised skills developed across the course.
