Home›Drew McCreadie Drew McCreadie Drew has been performing and teaching improv comedy professionally for over 25 years and has played with improv companies The Second City, Boatco, TheatreSports, Rock Paper Scissors, Urban Improv, and Canadian Content. Beyond the Classroom: Rides a motorcycle, loves SCUBA diving and plays guitar Approach: Technique-focused, Industry-informed, Confidence-building, Creative Bio Drew’s workshops are always fun, but he takes the business of comedy very seriously. You will learn how to access your natural comedic abilities and play at the top of your game. Drew’s teaching comes from years of actual stage experience, having performed hundreds and hundreds of shows over the course of several decades. His focus is on finding the funny fast! Drew believes that the comedy is already there in the scene, ready to be discovered, and that the improviser’s job is to identify the inherent comedy that lies in wait and bring it to the surface. Students will learn how to find the comedy in their scenes, even if they are not naturally funny people! Experience highlights: Drew is a winner of The Canadian Comedy Awards Best Male Improvisor. Drew has performed on stage with some of the best improvisers in the business, including Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, Hannah Warman, Ian Boothby and Roman Danylo. Drew has performed with The Second City, spending over a year cruising the Caribbean and performing on huge cruise ships.
