This Meisner course is designed to bring you into the present moment as a performer, through specific techniques and exercises created by Meisner. You will explore how to respond truthfully to your scene partner, unlock your unconscious impulses, and deepen your connection to your fellow actor through observation and repetition. This course is perfect for those who are new to Meisner and eager to explore a fresh approach to acting. Useful information 1 Do I need previous acting experience? Some acting experience can be helpful, but it is not essential. This course is suitable for anyone with a genuine interest in exploring the Meisner approach. 2 Do I need to bring anything? All scripts and materials will be provided. Just wear comfortable clothing you can move in. 3 What makes the Meisner Technique different from other approaches? Meisner focuses on truthful, instinctive responses in the moment, rather than pre-planned line readings or heavily scripted performances.
