Your five-day creative writing intensive Day 1: Story and Structure You will begin by exploring how stories work, looking at structure, narrative shape and the building blocks of compelling writing. Through practical exercises, you will start generating ideas and experimenting with different ways into a story. Day 2: Character and Conflict You will focus on creating believable characters with clear desires, obstacles and choices. You will explore how conflict drives story and how character motivation can create stronger scenes. Day 3: Voice, Style and Description You will develop your writing voice through exercises in prose, description, atmosphere and point of view. This day gives you space to experiment with tone, language and the details that make writing feel vivid and specific. Day 4: Form, Dialogue and Development You will explore how stories can work across different forms, including prose and screenplay. You will look at dialogue, scene construction and how to shape an idea into a more developed piece of writing. Day 5: Feedback, Refinement and Next Steps On the final day, you will review and develop your work, receive constructive feedback and identify practical next steps for continuing your writing after the course.
