Useful information

1
What is the focus of Screen Acting - Level 2?
Level 2 builds on the foundations from Level 1 and dives deeper into character development, emotional truth, and text work. You'll work on more challenging material from film and television scripts, with a strong emphasis on delivering believable and nuanced performances on camera.
2
Do I need to have completed Level 1 to take this course?
Yes, the completion of Screen Acting - Level 1 or equivalent screen acting training is recommended. You should already be comfortable with basic on-camera techniques such as hitting marks, understanding framing, analysing text and performing short duologue scenes on camera.
3
What kind of material will we work with?
You’ll work with film and TV scripts, exploring more complex dialogues, character relationships and scene objectives. This may include both solo monologues and two-person scenes.
4
Will we receive feedback on our performances?
Yes, absolutely. Each session includes constructive individual and group feedback from the tutor, with footage reviewed in class to help you see your growth and areas to develop.
5
How is this course different from Level 1?
While Level 1 focuses on the basics of screen acting technique, Level 2 sharpens your ability to work with more layered characters and complex scenes. There’s a greater focus on emotional connection, continuity between takes, and working like a professional actor on set.
6
Who teaches the course?
The course is led by professional actors and directors with significant experience in film and television. Their insights into the industry and personalised feedback will help you refine your craft.
7
What’s the next step after Level 2?
You can continue developing your screen acting skills by enrolling on our Screen Acting - Level 3 course or in our advanced workshops, specialist courses (like audition technique or self-taping), or joining our showreel programmes.
8
Do I get to keep the footage?
All filming will be watched in class and you will receive notes from your tutor. This enables us to work with popular, contemporary scripts and ensures that everyone feels free to explore and engage without concern of scenes being publicly viewed. If you are interested in filming scenes to take with you, please take a look at our Professional Showreel Package where you'll film scenes to take away with you.
