Led by an internationally performing improviser, you’ll explore a wide range of styles and formats designed to challenge you and help you shine on stage. To join this company you will need to be confident in scene work and have an understanding of basic improvisation techniques. You will need to have completed our Improvisation - Level 2 with Showcase or similar elsewhere. USEFUL INFORMATION Who can join the Improvisation Performance Company? You’ll need to be confident in scene work and have an understanding of basic longform techniques (editing, tags, sweeps, and “cut to” transitions). Do I need to audition? Yes, auditions are simply to confirm your current level of knowledge and listening. You do not need to be an experienced performer, be quick or funny, or have any formal theatre training. We look for improvisers who listen, support, and elevate their scene partners. How often does the company perform? We perform in multiple productions each year, alongside regular rehearsals and workshops. What kind of improv will we work on? A variety of formats and styles — from established longform structures to brand-new concepts developed by the company. Will I be supported if I’m nervous about performing? Absolutely.
