Blending the raw groove of House with the precision of Shuffle, this course is all about pushing your limits, refining your movement, and bringing choreography to life in front of an audience. What you will learn Across the weekly sessions, you’ll be introduced to a range of classic moves and techniques, including: Learn signature steps and combos from House and Shuffle, developing agility, rhythm, and coordination. Explore musicality, bounce, and timing. Rehearse a choreographed routine with a focus on stage presence, storytelling, and audience connection. Build confidence through group work, freestyle sessions, and performance exercises. Performance live on stage in a dance showcase for friends and family By the end of the course, students will: Master foundational and signature moves from House and Shuffle. Improve rhythm, timing, bounce, and coordination. Develop musicality and expressive movement. Gain confidence through freestyle exploration and collaborative exercises. Learn, refine, and perform a full choreographed routine. Enhance stage presence, audience engagement, and storytelling through dance. ✓ Some experience required We recommend that you have completed our House & Shuffle course prior to enrolling on this course. ⏰ When is the performance The performance for this course happens in the last week of the course. All information including show times, venue and call sheet will be provided during your course Useful Information Is this course suitable for beginners? This course is not suitable for complete beginners. We recommend that you have already completed our House & Shuffle Dance Course or have some prior experience with House or Shuffle styles. You’ll need a basic understanding of steps and rhythm to keep up with the pace. What will I learn during the course? You’ll build on your existing skills by learning more complex footwork, transitions, and combinations. The focus is on performance, so you’ll also develop musicality, stage presence, and confidence, culminating in a choreographed routine performed live. What should I wear to class? Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement—like a T-shirt and joggers—and trainers with good support. Don’t forget a water bottle to stay hydrated! How is this course different from the regular House & Shuffle course? This performance course is a progression from the standard House & Shuffle classes. It moves at a faster pace, assumes some prior knowledge, and focuses on preparing a full routine for the stage, with added emphasis on teamwork, expression, and choreography.
