Belly Dance Classes - Improvers

Belly Dance has origins in ancient cultures from across the globe, and is one the world’s oldest forms of dance. It is a very popular dance style, and has lots of benefits for both health and self-confidence.

The dance focuses on isolating different parts of the body and moving them independently in sensuous patterns and routines. This helps develop flexibility, strengthen abdominal muscles and build upper body strength.

The Improvers course is suitable for those who have already taken a Belly Dance Beginners course or have some Belly dancing experience.

BELLY DANCE COURSE CONTENT

In Improvers you'll focus on isolating body parts and moving them with sensual grace; building on the skills learnt in Beginners to further boost your femininity, balance, posture, strength, coordination and confidence:

• Improve technique and refine belly dance isolations
• Learn more advanced Belly Dance movements, to include hip, chest and arm combinations. Also adding some travelling steps.
• Combine intricate movements with more precision and accuracy
• Learn and practise fun choreography
• Discover the various styles of belly dance
• Lose inhibitions and gain confidence

You'll receive friendly feedback throughout the course.

OUR APPROACH

This course is best suited to students who have taken the beginners course or who have had previous knowledge and some experience in Belly Dance. This course will develop your skills and give you a stronger technique. You will working on creative rhythm whilst increasing your knowledge and giving you more difficult and intense rhythms and steps. Your tutor will advise you when you should progress to the next level. This course will be a continuous course creating new choreographies each month.
