Our Ballroom Dance - Intermediate Course is designed for dancers who have completed the Improvers Programme (or equivalent) and are ready to refine their technique, learn Bronze Level routines, and enhance performance quality in both Standard Ballroom and Latin Ballroom styles. You’ll explore more intricate choreography, improve your frame and partner connection, and develop the artistry needed to express yourself gracefully on the dance floor. Led by professional tutors, these classes balance precision, musicality, and fun - helping you dance with poise and personality. No partner is required - you’ll rotate partners throughout the class for a rich and varied learning experience. What You’ll Learn Within our Intermediate Ballroom Dance Programme, you will: Learn Bronze Level syllabus routines in Standard Ballroom styles such as Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, and Quickstep Learn Bronze Level syllabus routines in Latin Ballroom styles such as Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, and Samba Focus on refined footwork, timing, and rhythm to enhance performance quality Strengthen your connection, frame, and posture for more confident partner work Develop musical interpretation and expression for each style Gain experience dancing with multiple partners in a supportive, social environment By the end of the course, you’ll have mastered elegant new choreography and improved your technical foundation - preparing you to take your skills to the social dance floor. USEFUL INFORMATION Do I need to bring a partner? No, you don’t need a partner to join. We rotate partners during class so everyone can practise leading and following with different people. What level of experience do I need? This course is ideal for dancers who have completed a Ballroom Improvers Course or equivalent, and who are comfortable with basic steps in both Standard and Latin styles. Which dances will I learn? You’ll cover both Standard Ballroom and Latin Ballroom routines from the Bronze Level syllabus - including Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, and Samba. What’s the focus at Intermediate level? You’ll work on refining your dance technique, developing partner connection, and mastering structured routines with confidence and expression. Do I need special shoes or clothing? Comfortable clothing that allows movement is best. Smooth-soled dance shoes or Ballroom shoes are recommended for improved grip and precision.
