Our Singing Taster Class offers a practical and enjoyable introduction to vocal technique and group singing in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Guided by our professional singing tutors, you’ll explore the fundamentals of vocal training, practise essential warm-ups, and work on a simple song, all while building confidence in your singing voice. Taster are relaxed, group singing sessions - please don't worry, you won't be asked to singing by yourself. At the end of the short taster class you'll have the opportunity to ask questions about our Singing and Voice courses and receive some expert advice on what course is right for you. In the course you’ll learn about vocal technique, expand your repertoire, and grow as a performer as you learn new songs under the guidance of a professional vocalist. WHAT WILL YOU LEARN In your Singing Taster Class, you will: Sing in a supportive group setting as you learn vocal blending skills. Practise a series of fun, vocal warm-ups and technical exercises. Learn a little about breath and how our voices work. Develop a secure and effective breathing technique for singing. Apply these techniques to a simple song during the class. Meet a professional singer and explore your next steps. USEFUL INFORMATION What is a Singing Taster Class? A one-off beginner-friendly session that introduces you to the fundamentals of singing at City Academy, covering warm-ups, posture, breathing, and performance in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Benefits of Taking This Taster This friendly, practical class is designed to help you feel confident about taking your next step in singing while enjoying a creative and rewarding experience. Do I need any singing experience? No, this class is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some prior experience who want to refresh their skills. Do I need to prepare anything before class? No preparation is necessary. All material will be taught during the session. What's next after the taster? After the taster you can go on to our Beginners Singing Course where you’ll learn the basics of Singing as you develop your vocal technique across a range of genres.
