What you will learn In your Burlesque Dance Taster Class, you will: Learn a few basic Burlesque steps and movements. Build these moves into a short choreographic piece. Understand correct posture and develop awareness of your body in space. Try burlesque performance techniques to add (even more) character and flair to your dancing. USEFUL INFORMATION What is a Burlesque Dance Taster Class? A one-off, beginner-friendly session that introduces you to the fundamentals of burlesque dance, from basic steps to performance techniques, all in a supportive and fun atmosphere. What are the benefits of taking a taster before joining a course? A taster allows you to experience the style, pace, and teaching approach before committing to a full course. You’ll gain confidence, get a feel for the movement, and see if burlesque is the right fit for you. Do I need any dance experience? No previous dance experience is needed. The class is designed for complete beginners — the focus is on fun, self-expression, and building confidence. What should I wear? Wear clothes you can move in easily – most wear T-shirts and leggings. If you enjoy the class, you can enrol in our Beginners Burlesque Dance Course.
