Course & Membership Schedule If you’re interested in joining the Tap Dance company, you must attend a taster session. During the taster you will attend a regular rehearsal and meet the rest of the group. The Company Leader will also take the opportunity to watch you dance as well as assess your suitability for the group. USEFUL INFORMATION Who can join the Tap Dance Company? The company is open to anyone aged 18+ who has completed Tap Improvers 2 at City Academy (or equivalent), or who has previous tap performance experience. Do I need to audition? Instead of a formal audition, you’ll attend a Tap Dance Company Taster class, where you’ll join a rehearsal. This helps both you and the Director assess whether the company is the right fit. What does the membership include? Membership covers weekly rehearsals, showcases, guest masterclasses, plus exclusive benefits such as free tasters, discounted courses, and complimentary dance classes. How long is the membership? Membership runs on a monthly fee of £80, with a minimum period of 3 months. You can cancel at any time with 14 days’ notice before your next payment. What level of experience do I need? You’ll need to be confident at improvers level or above, with a solid grasp of tap foundations and some performance experience.
