In just one session, you’ll learn the basics from an industry professional as you tune into Tap's rhythm to experience the joy of making music with your feet. If you would like to get started straight away you can join our Beginners Tap Dance Course. In the course you’ll build your skills week by week, master more complex combinations, and gain the confidence to perform with style. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN In your Tap Dance Taster Class, you will: Learn the basic steps and rhythms of Tap Dance. Isolate parts of the body to define movements clearly. Develop coordination and musicality. Learn short warm-up and cool-down routines led by an experienced tap dance tutor. Experience a friendly and welcoming community. USEFUL INFORMATION What is a Tap Dance Taster Class? A one-off beginner-friendly class introducing you to the fundamentals of tap dance, including rhythm, posture, and coordination, all in a fun and welcoming environment. What are the benefits of taking a taster before joining a course? A taster lets you try tap dance before committing to a full course. You’ll meet your tutor, experience the pace and style of the class, and gain confidence with the basic steps, before moving on to our Beginners Tap Dance Course. Do I need any dance experience? No previous experience is needed, our tap tasters are designed for complete beginners. Your tutor will guide you step-by-step at a pace that suits you. Do I need tap shoes? Tap shoes are not required for the taster, but if you own a pair, we encourage you to bring them. For the full Beginners Course, tap shoes are required — you can purchase them easily online. If you enjoy the session, you can join our Beginners Tap Dance Course, where you’ll expand your skills, learn more complex routines, and refine your tap technique week by week.
