WHAT YOU WILL LEARN In this taster session, you will: Experiment with drawing using pencil, charcoal, and pastels. Try out a fun, relaxed, drawing class in a group setting. Learn the basics of structure, composition, and rendering shape. Explore line work, mark-making and smudging techniques. Receive guidance and feedback from your tutor to help you progress. USEFUL INFORMATION What is an Art Taster Class? A one-off, beginner-friendly art session designed to introduce you to drawing techniques and creative approaches, giving you a sense of what it’s like to learn art at City Academy. Why try a taster If you not sure if drawing is for you this Art Taster will provide a short sample of a class for you. The taster will give you the confidence to take your next step in art while offering a fun and inspiring creative experience. You’ll work in a safe and supportive environment, enjoy a taste of our professional teaching approach, receive personal guidance from an experienced tutor, connect with others who share your interest in art, and build skills you can apply in future creative projects. Do I need any art experience? No, the class is perfect for complete beginners, as well as those who want to refresh their skills after time away from art. Do I need to bring any materials? No, all materials will be provided for you during the session. What happens if I enjoy the taster? If you enjoy the class, you can join our How to Draw or How to Paint Beginners Courses, where you’ll explore techniques in more depth and work on more ambitious creative projects.
