Home›Samuel Keefe Samuel Keefe Samuel is an acting tutor with several years' experience of working with students to develop skills, increase confidence, and find the joy of play in acting. Beyond the Classroom: Relatively new father. Has ran one marathon, and will do his very best to think about doing another one. Bio Samuel works holistically with students, using the concept of 'serious play', to build student's confidence and skills over the course of the sessions. Each session will involve: introduction of key acting concepts, warm up games that are geared to the concept introduced, movement, voice and ensemble work, followed by the exploration of these key acting concepts through practical exercises. Text work is introduced early, so students are able to experience the process of applying these concepts to scripts. Improvisation is also introduced early, in a safe way that encourages fun, participation and learning. Samuel has experience in both designing and implementing acting courses on full time drama schools, and uses this experience to guide the students through an individualised journey to improve their confidence (and generally), develop new skills, and gain valuable experience in performing. Experience highlights: As an actor, Samuel began his professional career after graduating in 2012 from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and worked in Theatre, Radio, Commercials and TV. His first stage role was in The Maids at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow, with award winning director and designer Stewart Laing. Samuel's acting career some him tour across the UK as well as internationally on several occasions. His last production as an actor saw him performing at the FIT International Festival of Theatre, in Lugano Switzerland, with Vanishing Point's production of Striptease/Out At Sea. As a theatre maker and director, Samuel has developed work with: Camden People's Theatre, Perth Theatre, The Yard and The Pleasance. He has additionally worked several times as an Associate Director, Assistant Director and Dramaturg. As a screenwriter, Samuel has a number of projects currently in development. His short film, which he co-wrote with Ruby Richardson, was nominated three times for Best Screenplay, and previewed the UK premiere of Portrait of A Lady on Fire at Regent Street Cinema.
