This course is designed for those who have already started developing a musical or have completed an introductory “How to Write a Musical” course. Each week focuses on refining the structural, tonal, and narrative flow of your piece. Participants will receive targeted lectures, engage in guided exercises, and benefit from group feedback sessions.

Each participant will have two 20-minute feedback sessions throughout the course, and will present their work to the group on the final session. By the end of the course, participants aim to have a polished draft of their musical.

WHAT WILL WE COVER?

By the end of the eight weeks, participants will aim to have a complete, polished musical draft ready for the next stage of development. What You'll Gain from this Course:

  • Sharpen your musical's structure, tone, and narrative through focused weekly lessons, guided exercises, and supportive group feedback.
  • Dedicate time each week to independent work, including restructuring, character development, lyric writing, or focused writing.
